As a 33-year-old wife, mother and a financial analyst for a local hospital, I understand the importance of wellness. Treating the body as a whole system, rather than individual parts, is essential to realizing what our bodies are capable of executing.
With a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, a Master’s Degree in Biology, and a certification as a BIRTHFIT coach no level of education would have prepared me for my biggest test.
After the journey with secondary infertility, my husband and I were thrilled to find out we were expecting again. I was approximately seven weeks along with my pregnancy when I began experiencing complications. I decided to visit my OBGYN for an ultrasound; that’s when the news was announced, I was pregnant with twins! Unfortunately, one child was not going to make it through the full term. Positive thoughts and hopes carried in our hearts for the survival of our second child, but within two weeks we received a devastating report, the heartbeat had become still.
During my recovery, thoughts raced through my head; the loss of my babies lives was not my fault. I was determined to maintain a healthier lifestyle after our pain; my wellness journey began. I started with the mind body and soul; daily fitness routines, a nutrition-centered diet, and meditation. I reduced the use of household and beauty products that contained chemicals for safer alternatives. Combining therapy and with the support of my family, I’ve been on the path to a healthier life.
A journey that started off with pain fueled my passion for understanding and educating others with childbirth (birth and postpartum) health knowledge.
My desire gave birth to Two Peas Wellness; serving moms during pregnancy, postpartum, and beyond. Through specialty classes, seminars, and consultations, I look forward to encouraging women to discover their nutrition, self-awareness, and holistic living. Women deserve excellent care and information during the magnetic transition to motherhood.
