How To Deal With Negative Emotions
Occasionally, as mothers, we attempt to stay positive and in good spirits, right? We may face conflicts or obstacles; reality reminds us that we can’t control specific issues or others around us.
So, how should we handle our emotions?
Every individual is different, but it’s a fact that bottling up our emotions can cause health issues and lashing out our angry is dangerous. Acknowledging the spirit of anger is the first step to controlling our emotions, this is part of the journey of self-awareness. Self-Awareness allows you to understand other people, how they perceive you, your attitude and your responses to them at the moment.
Managing my emotions has become a part of life, I’ve incorporated breathing exercises when I’m stressed or become angry. Breathing detracts me from the destructive activity. It’s amazing how breathing can channel positive energy which can bring out creativity. With that creativity, I concentrate on a particular task, hobby or project.
I started working on a DIY dollhouse to keep my mind off things. Conversing with other mothers agree that projects can be quite therapeutic. Not only is it therapeutic, but it creates opportunities for one one time with your children.
How do you handle your emotions? I believe that understanding the feelings of other moms is important, ask yourself and moms around you, how are you emotionally?
